Satoko Hayami

Satoko Hayami

Active both as a solo and collaborative pianist, Satoko has travelled to different areas of the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, Croatia, and Italy, where she gave masterclasses and performances. She enjoys playing a wide variety of piano chamber music and keyboard works, including repertoires for harpsichord and toy piano. Besides performing, she co-founded a contemporary music ensemble Sound Out Loud Ensemble in Madison, WI.
She is currently a DMA candidate at UW-Madison, and a recipient of Paul Collins Wisconsin Distinguished Fellowship. She earned two Master of Music degrees, one from Rice University, the other from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She participated in summer festivals such as Aspen and Banff.
