Michael Tsang began his piano studies in Pittsburgh at age 5. He completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music and appeared as a soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in Heinz Hall, Butler Symphony, Pittsburgh Philharmonic, and Ithaca College Symphony. In 2014, Michael was a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Artists Competition, and he received the CIM Presser Scholar Award and William Kurzban Prize. Michael was selected as a Teaching Assistant of the CIM Summer Sonata Piano Festival from 2014-2016. Michael currently performs and teaches piano in St. Louis. He is also pursuing his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree with an interest in treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions of musicians and performers.
